Introduction

LienGuard ("we," "us," "our," or "Company") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website and use our services.

Information we collect

Account information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and password (hashed for security). This information is used to authenticate you and manage your account.

Waiver data

When you generate or send a lien waiver, we collect the job details, recipient email address, signer name, and signature. This data is stored to deliver the waiver, record signatures, and allow you to manage your waivers.

Print lead emails

When you request a free print or PDF export, we collect your email address to fulfill the request. This email is stored in our print_leads collection.

Purchase information

When you subscribe to a paid plan, we collect your email and plan details. This information is stored to track your subscription and send purchase confirmations.

Usage data

We may log your interactions with the service, including waiver creation and sending activity, to monitor usage limits and improve the service.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Authenticate your account and provide access to the service
  • Generate, store, and deliver lien waivers
  • Record electronic signatures and maintain audit trails
  • Enforce plan limits (e.g., waiver send limits for free and paid tiers)
  • Send you transactional emails (welcome, confirmation, thank-you, password reset)
  • Improve and optimize our service
  • Comply with legal obligations

Data storage and security

Your data is stored in our PocketBase database, which is hosted securely. We use industry-standard encryption and access controls to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Sharing your information

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only when required by law or to protect our legal rights. Waiver recipients receive only the waiver document and signature information you explicitly send to them.

Email communications

We send transactional emails (waiver signing invitations, purchase confirmations, password resets) to the addresses you provide. These emails are necessary to operate the service. You may not opt out of transactional emails, but you can manage your account or contact us to delete your account.

Cookies and tracking

LienGuard uses cookies and local storage to maintain your session and remember your preferences. We do not use third-party tracking or analytics cookies that profile your behavior across the web.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email address below. We will respond to requests within 30 days.

Children's privacy

LienGuard is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If we become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, we will delete such information promptly.
